Fully Funded Master's and PhD Opportunities at Beihang University

Research opportunities

Successful applicants will pursue research at the intersection of fluid mechanics, high-fidelity computation and data-driven modelling. Current directions include:

• Computational fluid dynamics, turbulence physics and high-speed compressible flows.
• Deep learning, generative models and scientific machine learning for fluid mechanics.
• Data assimilation, flow-field reconstruction and uncertainty quantification.

Applicants with backgrounds in mechanics, aerospace, mechanical engineering, energy and power, mathematics, automation, artificial intelligence or computer science are encouraged to contact us.

In line with the official programme guidance, we particularly welcome applicants whose bachelor's or master's degree was obtained from a QS or ARWU Top 500 university, as well as candidates with strong publications or substantial computational research experience.

Scholarship and programme

Funding

Tuition, university accommodation or accommodation subsidy, stipend, and comprehensive medical insurance. International travel is not covered.

Master's

Two to three years; applicants must hold a bachelor's degree and be under 35.

PhD

Four years; applicants must hold a master's degree and be under 40.

Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens, be in good physical and mental health, and meet Beihang's academic admission requirements.

English

For English-taught programmes: IELTS Academic 6.0, TOEFL 90 or Duolingo 105, obtained within two years.

Scholarship quotas are limited and applications are reviewed in batches. Prospective students should contact Prof. Zheng and complete their applications as early as possible.
